Join Us
The Historical Combat Company offers 4 types of membership, Individual, Group, Trader, and Affiliate. Membership lasts for 12 months:
Individual membership is £49 per year and includes:
- Personal public liability cover of up to £10million
- Access to our organisation wide Legal Cover of £500k
- Access to members only events
- Access to resources such as Risk Assessment templates, Training Videos and Monthly Newsletter
- Listing on our database of members if and when we are contacted by someone looking for your skill set.
There is no prerequisites to this type of membership. Your performer type will be listed as "Living History Performer" as default, you can be classified as a "Combat Performer", "Combat Re-enactor", "Combat Sports Person", "Historic Craftsperson", "Historic Activity Provider", "Historical Educator" at the discretion of The Historical Combat Company, you will be asked to provide further info and evidence of this if it con not be found in the public domain.
Group membership is £5 per year and includes:
- Listing on our database of groups if and when we are contacted by someone looking for a group of performers either to join or to work with.
- Advance notification of events and workshops to enable block booking.
- Customised "Event Packs" which contain all required paperwork for you to work at various events.
In order to join as a Group you must have at least 3 people join us as Individuals and state that they belong to your group. How your group is classified depends on the classification of your members with us.
Trader membership is £25 per year and includes:
- Invitation to trade at several events throughout the year (some of these may require "camping" or "parking" fees but there will be no fee to trade).
- Monthly newsletter of events we've been made aware of and contacted about.
- Listing on our database of traders if and when we are contacted by someone informing us of an event that may be of interest.
In order to join as a Trader, we will require a copy of your public and products liability insurance documents.
Affiliate membership is only available with a referral code, and is for individuals that belong to other groups and as such need limited services. This membership includes:
- Access to members only events
- Access to resources such as Risk Assessment templates, Training Videos and Monthly Newsletter
- Listing on our database of members if and when we are contacted by someone looking for your skill set.
